Car Wars: Audi vs. Lexus

Oh, snap...you just got served!

A Little Creme Egg to Start the Afternoon

I bought these for my office today. YAY!! So you should have one as well. :-)

I also learned that some people "in the woods" prefer the inferior Caramel Creme Eggs over the vastly superior standard Creme Eggs...pffft...weirdos!

A More IE Friendly Place

I was mucking around a friend's computer and discovered how long it took my bloggie to load using Internet Explorer, so I got rid of some things and hopefully this should be a lot easier to view.

In time I'll bring back some cool things one by one just to make sure that each one can play nice with other browsers besides Firefox.

Vampire Ray

This is what I was greeted with when I approached my desk this morning...

<3

I admire CC's art skills and the fact that he turns into a 5 year old to get my attention. :-)

I feel the love.

Baby Car is Out of the Nest

I just sold my baby car to my coworker. :-(

Now I know what Laura Anne is going through.

It's not that I'm upset, I'm happy to have sold my car to someone that really needs it since I don't need it anymore, but there's definitely a feeling of "awwwwww, it's not mine anymore."

What's doubly weird is that I'll be seeing it everyday because he'll obviously be using it to get around and that includes to and from work, so I'm sure I'll probably still walk over to it and try to open the door one of these nights when I'm so tired from working and not paying attention.

*sigh*

My 1988 Chevy Beretta served me well for these 4 years...well, definitely for the first 3, the last year not so much...

Updates and More Updates

So, it's been a while, but a busy non-posting Christine means that she is busy at work and has no time to update and (warning to people that may come in contact with me) has been napping quite a lot when I finally do get home because I think I may be getting sick.

But, onto the updates!

- bought my friend's 2002 Audi A4 Quattro 3.0 (thank you so so much Laura Anne, again); however, much like racing horses have a couple names, Darcy will be referred to by my sister and I as "Gert Kohler." This is a coworker of my sister's that has an amazing German accent and says funny, cute little things when he leaves messages to people. So we already have a long running, ever changing story involving my car Gert and the fact that he likes to drive fast and wants to get Christine in trouble. However, this little story is made more funny with my sister's amazing impression of a flawless German accent.

- work is going well *knocks on wood*

- yes, it's Valentine's Day and I could be like every other single person in the world and says how much it blows, but I will look back at last year's and remember how good the day can be when you are involved with someone. As for now, my Valentine's Day present is a nice deposit check to Laura Anne and a nice drive around CT for me in my car...vrooom...

New Cellphone FTW

I finally upgraded my cellphone to a lovely Blackberry Curve 8310 this week and now I see why it's called the "crackberry." I can't seem to just put this phone down, I'm constantly playing with it, downloading applications for it and all other sundry things one can do with a Blackberry. GAH! You are taking over my brain!

"Now if-a 3 turned out to be 5..."

Apparently when you write out a check for $374 to you health insurance company that means that they can really take out $574.

*checks memos*

Nope, I didn't get the recent memo about the change in our number system that makes 3 equal to 5 so you people at my bank will have to bare with my yelling and condescension until this gets fixed.

I did speak with a nice woman on the phone about it and apparently, what she thinks may have happened, is that my health insurance billing department somehow thought my 3 looked like a 5 and instead of reading what was written on the legal line (THREE HUNDRED AND ......) they just "coded" it as $574. So basically, my bank will simply refund me my $200 back probably by the end of the day if not tomorrow morning.

Now, I'm happy that they see what happened and are quickly willing to refund me the difference, however I'm not so happy that this whole thing happened to begin with. Where is my trust now that if I write a check out for a certain amount that that amount I had intended to pay will accurately be taken out of my account???

WTF
