Weekend Shenanigans

Friday night my sister came over and we had happy fun times in and around New Haven:

- dinner and drinks at TGIFriday's where I attempted that new steak and plantains sandwich again, but the steak is still WAY too tough to eat from a sandwich. It looked like I was a cavewoman ripping away at a fresh kill, but it just tastes so good!

- then we went for milk shakes at Laura Ashley's in New Haven which has some of the best ice cream I've ever had and some of the coolest ice cream makers who also know how to smack a bitch if sh*t starts goin' down: this uppity couple came in demanding to use the bathroom even though Laura Ashley's only has a secret employee only bathroom and when the ice cream person kindly explained to them that there was a public one RIGHT NEXT DOOR, they still demanded to use theirs. Needless to say though, the ice cream makers were victorious in defending their employee only bathrooms and the uppity couple left in a huff. *high five*

- Saturday was spend walking on the beach with the sister. Sadly, I left my camera at work, so no pictures this time, but I assure you the scenes were beautiful and a welcome sight after the weird and long winter we've had.

- Then snacks and such at Gourmet Heaven after we went to see some of the art at the Yale Art Gallery.

- Saturday night was spent with a good friend of mine, where we showed off our dating battle scars and recanted tales of love and loss over cosmos and other various martini concoctions at Hot Tomatoes. And after all that bitching, we were able to snag some cute eye candy to join us for some drinks and exchange our numbers with before we left.

Sunday's report to follow...
